Blueshirt Blues

We are well past the quarter mark of the season and the heavy favorite NY Rangers find themselves in 9th place. They are 30th in Powerplay and 20th in goals a game. We acquired Nash for these two categories and they find themselves still not finding the answer. So why is this? Why is this happening? Is this just the luck of the Rangers? Bad management? No. This is lack of chemistry. And the Nash trade may have gotten everyone all riled up and chanting Stanely Cup Champions 2013, hell I was doing to, but it has been a disappointment. Not so much on the play of Nash, it's more of the loss of strong depth players.

We finally found our top line of Nash, Hagelin and Stepan (good for Step). But seriously, where has Gaborik been since that hat trick in Boston. Where has Richards been with his fines passing and puck control. Pyatt CAN'T be our savior. Richards and Gaborik need to be. We should be producing 3-4 goals a game with these lines and we can't produce two against a tired Montreal team because Nash misses one game? BULLSHIT.

I usually stay clear of insulting our defense but Mcdonaugh hasn't been strong defensively. Del Zotto has been sub-par at best. Girardi has been solid. Staal is making stupid plays and hasn't been the same since the concussion. Stu Bickel should be our mascot at best. Stralman is a hit or miss. I mean what the hell happened to this team?

My last gripe is to our beloved captain and unicorn Callahan. I won't be harsh. He has continued to play well in all facets of the game besides one: Offense. 3 goals and 1 assist is a little pathetic... he needs to get those dirty goals around the net. He needs to be our clutch gene.

So losing Dubinsky, Anisimov and Prust has hit us harder than we Ranger fans have thought. I legitimately worried about this team right now. We need secondary scoring and our defense to wake up or else we're gonna end up wanting to trade for more and more players and eventually lose the core of a team that just started finally getting somewhere.
